Structure of PTO Shaft

A PTO shaft works by allowing a tractor’s engine to turn at high speed. A PTO shaft consists of a telescoping tube, a universal joint, and yokes. It is usually protected by a plastic shield and a chain. When attached to an implement, the PTO shaft allows the tractor to rotate at two different speeds.

A PTO shaft transfers energy from the tractor’s engine to a hydraulic pump, which moves fluid and powers implements. PTO shafts are more efficient in larger tractors. They can rotate clockwise or counterclockwise, but it’s crucial to standardize the direction to avoid damage. Prolonged reverse rotation can harm both the PTO and the attached implements.

Each shaft comes with a “Use and Maintenance” manual and safety labels to ensure proper use. Customers may inform BAIQUAN of the destination country to receive the appropriate manuals and labels.
